About this laptop and tablet
This refurbished Apple iPad 8th generation has a 10.2-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2160 x 1620, so text looks crisp and photos and video are sharp and colourful. It's a comfortable size for streaming, browsing, video calls and reading in bed or on the sofa.
Inside is Apple's A12 Bionic chip, which keeps everyday apps, schoolwork, casual games and multitasking running smoothly. The 32GB of storage suits people who mainly stream music and video and keep photos in the cloud, though it fills quickly if you download lots of large games or films. Apple quotes up to 10 hours of battery life for web browsing or video, enough to get through a school day or a long journey.
There's an 8MP rear camera for snapping documents and everyday photos, and a 1.2MP FaceTime HD front camera for video chats. Touch ID in the Home button unlocks the iPad with a fingerprint, and it charges through a Lightning port. It also works with the first-generation Apple Pencil for notes and sketching and with Apple's Smart Keyboard for typing, which makes it a handy all-rounder for families and students.
