These terms apply to your use of ApplianceRentals.co.uk (the "site"), operated by Sawtry Media Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 05080337) with its registered office at Eco Innovation Centre, Peterscourt, City Road, Peterborough, PE1 1SA. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What we do

ApplianceRentals.co.uk is an independent comparison website. We show appliances and electronics offered for rent by third-party rental companies, so you can compare their prices and see what can be delivered to you.

We do not rent, sell, deliver, install, maintain or repair any product, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a rental company. We do not provide credit, credit broking or financial advice, and we do not recommend any particular rental company or agreement. Any rental agreement is made directly between you and the rental company, on its own terms.

Information on the site

Prices, product details, descriptions, specifications, images, stock levels, delivery areas and ratings shown on the site are provided by rental companies and other third parties, or are prepared by us, in some cases with the help of automated tools. We take reasonable care, but we do not check every detail and we do not guarantee that any information on the site is accurate, complete or up to date. In particular:

• prices, offers and availability can change at any time and may differ from those shown;
• weekly prices are worked out from the rental company's monthly price (monthly price × 12 ÷ 52) and are shown for comparison only;
• product images may be illustrative and the product supplied may differ in colour, model or appearance;
• whether a product can be delivered to you depends on the rental company's own checks of your full address;
• ratings and reviews come from independent third-party services and are not our own.

Always check the price, product details and terms with the rental company before you enter into an agreement. If anything on the site differs from what the rental company tells you, the rental company's information applies.

Rental companies

Rental companies are independent businesses and are solely responsible for their products, prices, credit and affordability checks, delivery, installation, repairs, customer service and the terms of their agreements. We are not responsible for anything a rental company does or fails to do. Including a rental company or product on the site is not an endorsement, and we do not list every rental company or every product available.

How we are paid

ApplianceRentals.co.uk is an independent comparison site and is free to use. We may earn a commission from a rental company when you follow a link from our site and rent from it. This never changes the price you pay, and it does not affect which products we show: products are generally listed in order of price unless you choose another order.

Using the site

You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not:

• use the site in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent;
• copy, scrape or extract content or data from the site by automated means, or reproduce it for commercial purposes, without our written permission;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system, or interfere with how it works;
• introduce viruses or other harmful material.

Intellectual property

The site and its content, including its design, text and software, belong to us or our licensors. Product names, images and trade marks belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these terms gives you any rights in them beyond viewing the site as described above.

Links to other websites

The site links to rental companies and other websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or the products and services they offer, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Availability of the site

The site is provided free of charge on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free from errors or viruses, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice. You are responsible for protecting your own devices with suitable security software.

Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• we are not liable for any loss of profits, income, business, savings, data or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss;
• we are not liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus or other harmful material that may affect your device or data through your use of the site.

If we are found liable to you despite these terms, our total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the site will not exceed £100.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We may change these terms at any time by updating this page. The date at the top shows when they were last changed, and the version in force when you use the site applies.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
