A400M 55" 4K Ultra HD QD-Mini LED HDR Smart TV - 55A400M

About this TV

The TCL A400M is a 55-inch 4K Ultra HD smart TV built around QD-Mini LED technology. A 55-inch screen suits most living rooms, and with 4K resolution there's plenty of detail even when you sit fairly close. Streamed series, films and sport filmed in 4K look crisp, with fine textures and small text that stay sharp.

QD-Mini LED pairs a backlight made of many tiny LEDs with a quantum dot colour layer. The smaller LEDs give the TV finer control over which parts of the picture are lit, so bright highlights can sit next to deeper, darker areas with less of the greyish glow you sometimes see on standard LED sets. The quantum dot layer helps produce richer, more saturated colours. HDR support makes the most of this, bringing out the brighter skies, glinting reflections and shadow detail in content mastered for it.

As a smart TV, the A400M connects to your home Wi-Fi so you can open streaming apps directly on the set, with no separate box needed for everyday viewing. It's a well-rounded choice if you want a modern, bright 4K picture on a mid-sized screen.
