A400U 55" 4K Ultra HD QD-Mini LED HDR Smart TV - 55A400U-UK

About this TV

The TCL A400U brings a 55-inch 4K Ultra HD screen to your living room, giving you four times the detail of Full HD. On a screen this size, that extra sharpness shows clearly in fine textures, small text and distant scenery, so films, sport and streamed series look crisp even when you sit fairly close.

Its QD-Mini LED panel combines two technologies. Quantum dots help produce rich, accurate colours, while Mini LED backlighting uses many small LEDs that can be dimmed and brightened in zones across the screen. In everyday viewing, that means deeper blacks next to bright highlights, better contrast in night-time scenes and a picture that stays vivid in a sunny room. HDR support builds on this by showing a wider range between the darkest and brightest parts of the image when you watch HDR content from streaming services or discs.

As a smart TV, the A400U connects to the internet so you can use streaming apps directly on the set, with no separate box needed. For anyone after a big, modern 4K screen with stronger contrast and colour than a standard LED TV, it's a well-rounded choice for the main room.
