PS5 Digital Slim

About this games console and controller

The Sony PS5 Digital Slim is the compact, disc-free version of PlayStation 5, with a 1TB solid-state drive. Every game is downloaded from PlayStation Store, and the fast SSD keeps loading times short, so you're back in the action in seconds rather than minutes. If you later want to play discs, Sony's separate PS5 Disc Drive can be attached to this model.

It supports 4K output, high frame rates of up to 120fps on compatible games and TVs, and ray tracing for more realistic lighting and reflections. Tempest 3D AudioTech adds positional sound through compatible headphones, making it easier to hear where footsteps or gunfire are coming from. Wi-Fi 6 helps with smoother downloads, and the front has two USB-C ports for charging controllers.

The included DualSense wireless controller has haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, which let you feel textures, tension and impacts as you play. The Slim design is noticeably smaller than the original PS5, so it fits more easily under a TV or on a shelf. Most PS4 games are also playable, giving you a large library from day one.
